Genertec Europe Temax GmbH, abbreviated as Temax, is the German subsidiary of China General Technology Group Holding, Ltd.. Temax was founded in 1984, headquartered in Cologne, Germany, and has its own branch in Beijing. Temax provides users with project and market consulting services, engineering services and trade services in multiple business fields.

Genertec is a wholly state-owned company established by national investment in March 1998. It is one of 135 enterprises directly supervised by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) at the deputy-ministerial level. In 2008, the group achieved an operating income of 4.7 billion US dollars with total assets at the year-end amounting to 5.2 billion US dollars.
